This mirrors how SQLite is vendored: no submodule clone or Python amalgamation step in CI, and the exact reviewed bytes are compiled. The amalgamated source is portable C that builds on Windows/macOS/Linux via compile-time #ifdefs. README.md records provenance and the upgrade procedure; LICENSE is PocketPy’s upstream MIT license.
